The Merci Collection, Jewelry by Gerald Haessig:

The Fleur De Lis, long a symbol of France, has taken on a new role since Hurricane Katrina. It is the rallying cry for rebuilding, recovery, and pride for our beloved city, New Orleans. The focal point of the designs, the fleur de lis, is placed in front of a Roman column. The Roman column symbolizes the strength of our people, stately mansions, and historic plantations. A banner reads, “Merci” – honoring our French heritage. The Merci Collection is designed as a way for locals to say thank you to a volunteer or someone special.

The small pendant comes on a black cord, while the medium pendant comes on a black wire necklace. Each piece of jewelry is .999FS, meaning it is pure silver.

Each piece is individually hand made. There is no mass produced casting involved in the process. There will be slight differences in each piece, making each one unique. Each is signed on the back. All are made in New Orleans

The French fleur-de-lis design has taken on a new role in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina, symbolizing rebuilding, recovery, and pride. Local artist Gerald Haessig's jewelry features the fleur-de-lis with a "Merci" banner in front of a Roman column representing the strength of New Orleans.
