Headwaters' Services
Headwaters Relief Organization was originally established in 2005 as the River of Hope project to provide volunteer services and materials to hurricane stricken areas of New Orleans. It has since also extended its services to flood affected areas in Southeastern Minnesota, Iowa and Fargo North Dakota. Through its Disaster Services, Headwaters has the capacity to provide a range of disaster response emergency and recovery phase services, on a nationwide basis. Headwaters Disaster Services are guided by resiliency principles of individual and community participation. We work closely and cooperatively with other involved agencies and organizations during disaster planning and response. The following disaster response services are available:
-
Property clean up and re-building
-
Community mental health services
-
Employee assistance services
-
Psychological first aid, crisis, critical incident, trauma, and grief interventions
