Headwaters Relief Organization volunteers traveled to Haiti on April 29th. They did so to deliver food, supplies and clothing to an orphanage and to a school we have supported on previous relief trips. The supplies were purchased with over $1800.00 dollars of donated funds. The food was purchased at the local market and included several hundred pounds of rice, beans, oatmeal, baby food, oil and other staples. Conditions continue to be extremely difficult in Haiti, with the orphanages and schools struggling to feed, clothe and educate the children. The orphanages and schools, to which we provide support, receive no government aid or regular private funding. Therefore, donations such as those collected and delivered by Headwaters directly affect over 200 children.
