Headwaters Relief Organization responded to Hurricane Isaac by sending 22 volunteers to the region, from October 17th to October 20th. The efforts involved clean up, gutting or repair work in either Plaquemines Parish or Lafitte; both are areas that were hit hard by the hurricane. Some group members were also involved in a community event at the Mental Health Center in New Orleans’ Upper Ninth Ward, while other group members continued with clean-up / rebuilding work according to needs in the Greater New Orleans / Lafitte areas.
